SEATTLE (AP) -Playing in Key Arena in its current state is not a workable option for the team, the new owner of the Seattle SuperSonics said Wednesday.
Clay Bennett told a news conference his group is putting together plans for a possible large-scale arena entertainment complex as a new home for the Sonics. He would not rule out the possibility of a remodeled Key Arena.
Bennett said he's been talking to people in Bellevue and Renton, has spoken with Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels and was scheduled to speak with Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire later in the day.
The chairman of the Oklahoma City-based Professional Basketball Club LLC said he is developing a blueprint for a large entertainment complex. The site and plan should be completed by the end of the year.
Seattle sports fans have speculated that Bennett might move the Sonics to Oklahoma City following the coming season.

The AFC South and the NFC East are the favorite divisions to have the next Super Bowl champ among them in the NFL betting odds. But more down to the point, these football odds are in favor of the Indianapolis Colts, by far the strongest team in the AFC South, and the Dallas Cowboys of the NFC East.
Most sports fans would agree that these two teams top the list to win it all before the season even begins. And it is likely they will do so. The Bengals lost in the AFC Wild Card spot in a hard-fought battle against the New York Jets last season. Lest not forget the Pittsburgh Steelers, the XLII Super Bowl Champions… All these teams present interesting odds and matchups for the upcoming season, but the safest and surest bet seems to be with the Colts in the AFC South and the Cowboys in the NFC East.
